Opera 9 is a web browser developed by Opera Software ASA, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. Opera 9 has been built on Presto rendering engine and there are about 25 builds contains 5 beta versions from its first beta version 9.0 beta 1 released on 20-Apr-2006 to the final edition 9.64 released as late as on 03-Mar-2009 spanning more than three years.

There are huge list of changes in this edition and important one among them includes content blocking, BitTorrent support, Widgets, Search engine editor, Advanced configuration editor, etc.

With this edition you can block certain contents based on the website name or URL, a safe way to browse the web. Opera introduced the widgets feature, a tiny program lives outside Opera window for managing the widgets of your choice.

Pop-up Blocker has now improved in the functionality and ease of use.  In the Plug-in support Netscape API has been included and certain unstable plugin requires your click before they are active.
