Opera 7 is a web browser developed by Opera Software ASA, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Opera was officially released on 2003-01-28 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Opera 7 has been built on Presto rendering engine and there are about 22 builds contains 5 beta versions and two updates from its first beta version 7.0 beta 1 released on 13-Nov-2002 to the final edition 7.54 Update 2 released as late as on 04-Feb-2005 spanning more than two years.

There are huge list of changes in this edition and important one among them includes new Email & News Client, New rendering engine Presto, Hot List Feature, and a multitude of User Interface feature additions.

This edition has been built by the new Presto layout engine and Opera has to be almost completely re-written from the core. Interestingly this version is faster but smaller than its predecessor Opera 6, thanks to the Presto. Presto includes support for Document Object Module 2, Dynamic HTML, CSS2 Support, WML 1.3 and HTML 4.01.

The Email client can support SMTP client and can import mails and address books from popular email client programs like Eudora, Outlook Express and Netscape.
