Opera 24 is a web browser developed by Opera Software ASA, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Opera was officially released on 2014-09-02 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Opera 24 has been built on Chromium 37 rendering engine using JavaScript engine V8. This version is supported in Windows XP and later versions except Windows 10.

Opera 24 has been released with little changes and notable among them are HiDPI handling and content preview with hovering mouse on the tab.  Now instead of opening a tab, all you need to do is hover the mouse on a tab to preview the contents instead of clicking the tab and reading the contents.

Now private windows in Opera can be distinguished in a better way compare to previous versions of Opera. As usual this release has extensive support Chromium release 37.
